Hi Y’all! Just a quick reminder that I am now back in school. I am in school Mondays and Wednesdays till 12:30 and on Tuesday nights from 6pm till 9pm. During the summer I was sometimes available during those times, but now I will be unavailable during those times. I don’t know why, but the teachers seem to have a problem with us texting or talking on the phone during class. They act like it will disturb the class or something.
Now on to the good news! Design Team member, Melissa Ross, just gave birth to her second child. She had a little girl. She was born at 3:51pm and weighed 7 lbs, 4 oz. They named her Mia. I figure we’ll see Melissa again in about 18 years. Once Mia has left for college. Just kidding. Congratulations Melissa and Rich!
OK, sorry for the VERY late post. I have been trying to play catch up since arriving home on Saturday from a two-week vacation in Florida. I really enjoyed attending CHA and am so thankful to Evelyn for including me! Thanks again Evelyn! And I had a blast spending time w/all the gals from Scrapnesia and getting to know everyone better. Oh My Goodness! I can’t believe I forgot this. I guess it’s hard when you have been running full speed ahead on pure adrenaline and no sleep for 3 days straight.
Remember the Robin’s Nest Dew Drops? Now they have Tear Drops. These are just like the dew drops only in the shape of a tear. They make some very pretty flowers. My brain is foggy right now and the catalog and order form has been packed, but I believe there are 16 new Tear Drops. Yes, I ordered them all!!! Angie may just need to have a Tear Drop swap soon on fancypapercrafters.com
I also ordered the Ultimate Crafters Companion Toolkit. The all-in-one, compact carry-case which allows you to score, measure, trim, embellish, create boxes, shaped card blanks, envelopes and so much more… The Ultimate Crafter’s Companion is everything you will ever need for your card making projects, in one handy and portable carry case. Includes a 24 full page instruction booklet and a 2 1/2 Hour Project & Instructional DVD which takes you step by step through 12 differenct projects and detailed instructions. Click here to watch the video on YouTube.
Also coming are the storage totes from Neatnix. Every project requires “stuff” and they have just the totes to keep it in. We will be getting them in Pink and Polkadot. You are going to LOVE them!
Hi Y’all! We got to CHA this morning and after I placed several more orders, they told us to go home. How did it end so quickly? I swear they must be pushing the clocks ahead and kicking us out early because it didn’t seem like we were there that long.
Ranger is releasing several new colors of Tim Holt’s Distress stickles. Ladies, now take a deep breath. We even got photos of….
Tim Holtz!
He even posed for a photo with me, but the photographer must have been drunk because the photo is very blurry. After that, we were able to take a photo of Suze Weinberg.
We placed an order with QuickQuotes and with Zva Creations. Zva Creations has absolutely gorgeous bling! Rhinestones and Pearls and more! But even if it weren’t sparkly embellishments, how could we resist buying these from the adorable 7 month pregnant vendor?
Then, of course we had to order all the new Basics Rhinestones and Pearls from Kaisercraft.
At the end of the day, they had the last raffle at the Provo Craft booth. Cindy got a 3M prize pack when the guy threw it off the stage into the waiting crowd. Then, you are not going to believe this! You had best get ready to help me knock Kaysi down at the next crop. That lucky girl won the brand new Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge that won’t even be released for sale for a few more months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heather and Allison already tried to take it from her, but as you can see from the photo they were BUSTED! There are now rogue gypsies. (Check out the www.roguegypsies.com web site for information on what rogue gypsies is all about).
Anyway, we spent the rest of the evening sorting our goodies and packing to head home tomorrow. See ya soon!
Hi Y’all! Today just flew by. I have absolutely no idea where the time went. Placed an order with Quick Quotes, but I’ll have to show you pictures of their cute stuff later, as the photos are on Kaysi’s camera. Our first stop today was Provo Craft. It took most of our day. With the absolutely fabulous make-n-takes, doorprizes, new cartridges and the new GYPSY! We did more stuff, but since my camera card was full during the cricut booth, I didn’t get anymore photos today. I’ll have to upload some of the design team’s tomorrow.
But let me tell you about the Cricut. New cartridges being release are: Winter Woodland, In My Kitchen, Paper Dolls Everyday People, Elmo, Batman, Superman, and Calendar. I have taken photos of all the cuts they had available that they made with each of the new cartridges.
Now, on to the GYPSY!!!! I LOVE IT!!! Your kids have their PSP, your husband has his i-phone, now you can have your Gypsy! With this little hand-held computer, you no longer have to lug around your cartridges, overlays or books to crops. In fact, this little machine incorporates the jukebox and the Cricut Design Studio in it. Basically making the jukebox obsolete. I will be taking pre-orders on this amazing little gem.
During the drawings, Heather won a 3-M prize pack of adhesives and the new Post It Removeable paper that is designed for cutting with the Cricut. So far, we have not won the Gypsie. Cross your fingers for tomorrow.
Hi Y’all! We woke up at 6am this morning. Yes, I did say 6am. You would all have loved to see that! I am definitely NOT a morning person. We all crammed into Kaysi’s aunt’s van and headed to Orlando. Evelyn used the car as an office and Allison used it as a beauty parlor.
When we got to the convention center, the fun began. Lots and Lots of scrapbooking vendors all in one place. We are in heaven. We have seen so many absolutely FABULOUS new papers, stickers and embellishments!!! My credit card is having heart palpitations.
We saw the new Basic Grey collections. Talk about cute. The Little Eskimos Collection was so sweet and the Indian Summer collection looks like it will make a great fall RX Club kit.
Remember the cat paper line at the store? It is by The Paper Company. So today we tracked them down. Talk about love at first sight. Everything they have made us drool. I was in the middle of placing an order with them when our lovely design team members caught up with me. While I flipped through the papers I was ordering, Kaysi was freaking. “Shut Up!†she would exclaim. I flipped again and she said “shut up†again. When she left, the sales man said…â€that one is crazy.†Needless to say, this paper line has glitter, glossy accents, foil accents and…did I mention glitter?
Papers and buttons and flowers oh my! We have found so many cute and absolutely stunning products and have been having a blast! We found a brand new paper company called Bella Blvd. That is one of the booths where Stephanie from Funkie Munkie and I ran into each other. We both ended up ordering some of it.
Door prizes, drawings and doorprizes galore! We tried, but we didn’t win a free slice machine today! Well, anyway, we will be waking up a 6am again tomorrow. Check back tomorrow for more updates.
Wait! Did someone mention Blog Candy? I believe Kaysi did. Register below (on the right side at the very bottom) and post your comments. Everyone who posts a comment to one of our CHA Adventures will be entered into a drawing for a CHA goodie!
It’s Kaysi. I’ve been patiently waiting for everyone from Scrapnesia to hurry up and get to Florida! I’m so excited for CHA-I can’t stand it! I’ve been in Florida for a week now. Did the whole family Florida vacation. You know, lots of sweating, everyday family chaos, sweating, and sick children. I thought vacations were to rejuvenate you…HA! Did I mention mosquito swatting is a popular sport here? I don’t know how I survived living in Florida my whole life…
Anyway, Â my husband and daughter are back home in South Carolina and now I’m here waiting for the REAL fun to begin!Â
Make sure you check out the BLOG everyday! We plan on uploading lots of pics, videos, you name it. And we have a few surprises up our sleeves. Did I mention I LOVE BLOG CANDY?
I wish tomorrow would hurry up and get here already!
Hi Y’all! We finally found a carry case for the big Cricut machine. It is a toolbox sold at Lowes and the big machine fits absolutely perfect inside of it. Here’s the info taken from the sticker on the bottom of the toolbox:

I have already received from products from Vendors for goodie bags and prizes. Scrapbooks, Etc. is donating a FREE digital storybook! My Mind’s Eye has sent lots of free products. And Making Memories has donated leaflets for the goodie bags so far! We also have lots of other stuff on the way! Being shipped right now are some baby papers and ……… SPORTS papers from Paper House and SugarTree!!! Don’t miss all the excitement!
As many of you know, I am going to school at Greenville Tech. This semester I have been taking Torts Law. The first day of class we learned about the different defendants. The purely innocent, the totally negligent (intended to do it) and the Reasonable man. Since then, I hear “Reasonable Man” all the time. Even in other classes. It has gotten so bad that I even heard my cat say it the other night. She obviously meowed, but I heard “Reasonable Man.” LOL. I would imagine it is pretty hard to find this reasonable man in this day and age. I wonder if he even exist. Hmmm…
