Work at Home Mom's Week!
Did
you know that this week is Work at Home Mom's
Week? I didn't until I checked the calendar
just now. My mother
was a work at home mom. There were days when
I wished she worked outside the home so that
I wouldn't be embarrassed by her when she
would be class mom or take her turn helping
out in the school nurse room. But for
the main part it was really nice knowing
that when the school needed to reach my mother
to pick me up when I was sick, she was just
a phone call away and no one would get mad
at her for leaving work to pick up her sick
child.
For
all of you who are work at home Moms, Donna
and I wish you a Happy Work at Home Mom's
week. For those of you who do work outside
the home, we haven't forgotten you. It is
also National Revise your Work Schedule Month.
Hopefully you can revise your work schedule
to attend your children's last of school activities.
Donna and I are both revising our work schedules
this week so that Donna can attend her son's
activities. Tuesday morning Donna will be
heading to the zoo with Tristan's class, so
I will be at the store. Friday afternoon is
Tristan's ceremony at school, so I will be
at the store Friday afternoon also.
